'Mangiare la foglia': Food and Metaphors in Feminine Migrant Literature

The paper shows how food, in the field of emigration, but also in an absolute sense, is one of the most visited metaphors of the 'village' and always present in the chain of transmitted emotions, rituals, habits and memories found in chain migration.
