Abstract

Voices from Friuli: Giuseppe Mariuz, Giacomo Vit and Nelvia Di Monte

The linguistic question is faced by the whole generation of neo-dialect speakers; some use the language of Friuli habitually (Vit), others have learnt it (Mariuz) – the same as for Pasolini in his own time – for others still it is an idiom which has been recaptured from a distance (Di Monte) and revived in occasional visits to Friuli.
