Food and Pleasure in Canadian Feminine Imagery
The search for female identity and authenticity, as found in texts written by contemporary women, aims to reclaim the notional value of food in order to subvert the conventional links between food, sexuality and artistic creation. A perfect example is Mary di Michele’s novel Tenor of Love.
