Abstract

Brief Analysis of the Self-Translation in Latin America

The aim of this essay was to investigate if self-translation exists, what it is and why there are some writers and critics who deny its existence or categorically deny it. The conclusions we reached are that the authors used writing practices like self-translation for several reasons, but for the vast majority this path means to face many difficulties while for others it is an act of freedom.
