Per Rosa Chacel il cinema è stato un mezzo per meglio sopportare l’esilio in quanto nello schermo rivive quel processo di unificazione del sé che caratterizza lo stadio infantile dello specchio. Stadio che per lei assume un valore speciale in quanto il momento della costruzione dell’io coincide con il momento delle prime parole.
